You should inquire if the hotel management will allow the
twenty-year-old tradition of displaying the North American Shortwave
Association banner across the inner court. Recognizing that there might
be concerns for safety, offer to use 3/16" stainless steel cable instead
of the traditional nylon rope. Offer to protect the railing with a
piece of 4" ID PVC pipe cut to slip over the railing. (Be sure that the
banner support cable is perpendicular to the railings and stock up on
alligator clips.)
