For those of us not too far away from Philly, you might want to come
into town for a screening of the excellent documentary film you
enjoyed (or missed!) at the SWLfest this year: "Resurrect Dead: The
Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles." It won Best Director of Documentary
at Sundance this year! The Director Jon Foy chose the 2011 SWLfest
as the premier (private) screening venue as a Thank You for all the
help we gave him and his staff for making the documentary a success.
Much of it was filmed at the 2006 SWLfest, and it features some of
our inimitable characters there--as well as an intriguing story line
that includes mysterious pirate shortwave broadcasts. Definitely
worth seeing, even if you saw it before. It's playing at
International House (3701 Chestnut Street in Phildelphia) on Sept 8,
10, 11, 12. See you there!
