Good point...I use Waze on an iPhone, and it's updated weekly.  It's free, too.

The road existed on the 10/1/2006-vintage imagery I found on Terraserver.

Even the 4/14/1992 image had the map (and the hotel).

Whether or not the label (and name) is there...that's a different story.
