Rich, thanks for the 'sound' internet radio advice. I think my 88 year-old aunt may be content with just one 'station' that plays stuff from her era. So we're going to try the "Grace Digital Victoria Wireless Internet Radio" because it looks familiar to her and has a big volume control knob: http://www.amazon.com/Grace-Digital-Victoria-Wireless-Featuring/dp/B004YI9HG2/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1336431454&sr=1-9

I understand this is a fairly new model unlike the CC WiFi which has been around for a few years. I'll post the results here after she uses it for awhile..

Joe's thoughts on a satellite radio service are good if she can afford it.

As for wifi radios themselves, the CC Wifi is pretty easy to use once
you have it set up. Once it's set up, you can navigate it exclusively
with the on-off switch, volume, and preset buttons. There are three
button presets. The on/off button is red - that's pretty easy to spot
- and volume is a big knob. That knob doubles as a tuning knob when
you push the knob in.

I would think an older person would find that wifi radios with more
vs. fewer pushbutton presets would be easier to use...so there may be
better finds than the ccwifi.

The Logitech Squeezebox seems well-liked and has six presets. I think
that might be an overall better bet - I believe Eric Cottrell had one
with him in Plymouth Meeting.

As far as wifi reliability goes, that will frankly depend on the
Internet setup she has - generally speaking, most wifi radios seem to
do better with b or g security than n security. Unfortunately that's
somewhat of a crap shoot.

You or someone else will need to set the radio up and use nail polish
or something to highlight the preset buttons, the on-off button, and
the volume.

My father is 87 and, unfortunately, his glaucoma (and lack of
patience...) does not make him a good candidate for a wifi radio.

Oh...and I admire her tastes in music...!
