If you missed yesterday's deadline on the SWLfest group room rate,
don't despair...there's a workaround to still get the $109 rate
instead of the $132 rate they charge now:
First, sign up for the free Hilton Honors program (which is a good
idea anyway to get free hotel perks) and write down your new HHonors
number: https://secure3.hilton.com/en/hh/customer/join/joinHHonors.htm
Call Reservations at (800)445-8667 and make your reservation at the
current rate of $132.00. Give them your HHonors number. Get a
Reservation Confirmation Number.
Then call the hotel at (610)834-8300 and ask to speak with their Sales Manager.
Tell the Hotel Sales Manager that you're a Hilton Honors member and
that the block of rooms is sold out for the "NASWA Shortwave
conference." Ask them if they'd be kind enough to retroactively
apply the $109 sold out block room rate to your reservation (give
them your reservation number and HHonors numbers.)
The Sales Manager will almost certainly grant your request. They did
for me ;-)
