Yes, the listening post table layout was much better this year, with ample room for people to access to two long rows of receivers thanks to Tim & Tony's fine efforts!

Matt Blaze's email address is <[email protected]> if anyone wants to coordinate with him next year. I invited him to join this mailing list but don't think he did. He's very accommodating and this year I suggested he bring some exotic receivers, so he brought an Icom R9500 and a Mason TSCM receiver which were both very interesting, plus his Rohde & Schwarz PR100 let us monitor Brazilian pirates using a U.S. military UHF satellite for chit-chat, music, and other things. Plus Matt brought a nice tactical VHF/UHF discone, and a longwire (oriented for east/west reception) which nicely complemented the HF loop.

The Presidential Suite with its balcony has allowed us to have the best hands-on radio experience in SWLfest history. Now, if we could only get those nearby AM broadcasters to shut down for the weekend we'd be great shape ;-)

If anyone wants to bring a 2x8 or 3x8 HF distribution box next year, that would be excellent!

Hello,

It was great for the receiver geeks to get together. I think next year we need to better coordinate with Matt and others who want to share their radios.

It would be great if we could get a 2x8 or 3x8 HF distribution box. An alternative would be getting several two input RF switches so the receivers could be switched between two distribution boxes. We have a year to work on this.

The Fairhaven has a separate input for several different frequency ranges. Other receivers allow selection of multiple antennas independent of frequency.
