What are people planning to bring? I'll be bringing, with high probability:
Antennas: - An amplified HF loop antenna - A long wire (if we can arrange roof access) - A UHF SATCOM antenna (for the demo after my talk) - A Kiwa medium wave loop - A bunch of feedlines, patch cables, and adapters. - A heavy duty mil-spec HF distribution amp that will, with luck, reduce our issues with intermod from that MW blowtorch that you can see from the balcony. Receivers: - An Icom R-9500 (DC-3.3GHz) - A Cubic 3250 (LF-HF) - An R&S PR-100 (DC-7.5GHz) - maybe other stuff. A suggestion/please: PLEASE bring (& use!) headphones. I have a couple pairs that I'll bring along, but probably not enough for every receiver. Last year it got very loud in the suite, enough that it was hard to have a conversation and neighbors were complaining. If we try to use headphones when just tuning around with the receivers (except when finding something interesting or doing a demo), that may help the noise level from going into positive feedback loop. Looking forward to the fest! _______________________________________________ Swlfest mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/swlfest To unsubscribe: Send an E-mail to [email protected]?subject=unsubscribe, or visit the URL shown above.
