The Starchat IRC servers sometimes connects, albeit very slowly. Charlie Alexander tells me some users have moved to Freenode #swbc but there were no users logged into #mwdx this evening. I may have created the room upon joining as there was no title; you might try emailing a participant to determine its status.
He also told me irc.us.starchat.net *may* work better than irc.starchat.net. I don't notice any difference between the two but I haven't tried different times of the day. HTH.
