Hello,

I am looking forward to listening to Matt Blaze's talk. Analysis of metadata
for non-Federal digital and trunked radio systems can also aid in figuring out
the radio system. On some systems, talkgroups and radio ids are assigned using
a pattern.

The talk reminded me of a paper that talks about traffic analysis of P25. When
I looked it up I found that Matt Blaze was one of the co-authors!

The "Father" of traffic analysis is Gordon Welchman, who lead the Hut 6 team at
Bletchley Park during WW2. They were able to figure out the German Radio
Network without the ability to reading the encrypted Enigma messages.
