I'm very sad we lost Allan Loudell--he was a truly professional radio
journalist and always a wonderful guy to talk with. At this year's
SWLfest I was fortunate to talk with Allan at length in the
'Hospitality Room' about the state of journalism in the sea of
misinformation and disinformation, the broadcasting biz, media
consolidation, and politics. The depth of knowledge and history he
brought to our discussion was very enlightening.
I feel honored to have had that conversation with Allan, and will
miss him. The general public has lost a superb radio journalist
whose work informed them better than anyone else could.
