An update for those of you who viewed my presentation on
premium radios.  The JRC NRD-95 receiver that was still live
on the Japan auction site as we were in our session, finally
sold for $5,395 -- this is likely a record price for a JRC receiver
on the used market.  (For those wondering, I did not win it...)🙁

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Well said John, I share your comments and sentiments. Thanks to ALL especially
to Rich, Sheldon, and the forum presenters.

I for one would enjoy gathering like this more frequently.

Until we meet again, wishing you and your families the very best...be safe,
healthy and enjoy every minute.

Hi -

For me, probably the most significant sign that this ?virtual? Fest was not
really all that virtual at all is that little tinge of sadness and melancholy I
usually feel at the end of each year?s edition. It was there again as I hit
the ?leave? button on ZOOM at around 1:30 this morning.

But the most prominent emotion is joy ? joy at watching so very talented and
committed people talk to us in the forums about the things that excite them
about radio; joy at seeing people we have come to know as good friends in a
familiar place that sounds and feels like an annual reunion; joy in knowing
that I am with those for whom radio is as interwoven into their lives as it is
mine.

It was all there this time too, which proves it matters little how or where we
meet. It just matters that we make sure we do meet, somehow and somewhere..

So I want to thank my good friend Rich for the smooth and seamless way he dove
into the ZOOM environment and made it work for us. I want to thank Sheldon for
his excellent suggestions along the way and for always finding a way to step
up, help and improve things as we plan and conduct the Fest. I want to thank
Rich D?Angelo for maintaining his enthusiasm for the idea of conducting this
event on ZOOM helping me overcome my own skepticism. I want to thank every
Forum presenter ? Tom, Skip, Larry, David, Bill, Thomas and Mark ? for the way
they excelled in using the platform to provide us with a fascinating, diverse
program. And I want to thank Harold, Kris and especially Bob for coming up
with this greatest of ideas and leaving us with a format and spirit that I now
believe can last 135 years, let alone 35.

Finally, I want to thank all of you for being such an important part of it all
? really the crucial part. For it?s your friendship and support that drives
and inspires us every time we do this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

73 and 88
John

??? Thanks to John, Rich and the rest of the crew for making a great fest.

I hope that the fest can resume in person next year and that the virtual
?? ??? ??? ???? fest can continue on Zoom.? Both environments have lots
to offer as the fest goes from strength to strength.

Kudos to everyone involved and see you next year.

73 and good Dx.
