Wow what a wonderful time I had. Even thought I am an old dog, I did learn new tricks this weekend. For me there were some moments worth mentioning. The testimonial for Ian McFarland totally blew me away. His life should be an example and inspiration for us all. The world would be a much better place if more of us lived our lives by his example. Saturday evening, before, during and after the "broadcast", the gathering in room 155 became an impromtu disscussion of shortwave, scanning, tecnical issues, and all manner of things radio. Some new friendships were begun and old ones renewed. The visit to the radio museum was an unexpected surprise. I would also like to thank Dr. Cones for his input regarding the used TO I was contemplating buying. I'm putting in my vacation days for next year and including all 3 days so I can get the total emersion experience. Thank you festmeisters for an excellent adventure! CRAIG N3TPM
