Jim~ You know, I got the same impression too. But, the Scanner Scum did get to spend some time with Edith before Mr.. Cummings monopolized her time as she attended Uncle Skip's Geocaching forum and geocaching clinic. She also attended a group dinner with the Scum for some good Chinese food.
Based upon my interactions, I am confident in her editing skills and I think the focus of the magazine will stay true to it's name and be "popular" for a wide audience of communications enthusiasts. I don't think we will see another 2600 there.
