Richard I never really thought about using my EeePC as a WiFi radio until I
read your post. So I tried it. The Eee comes with Music Manager which is the
KDE Amarok player. Many Linux distros come with it or similar audio apps.

I used it to play the WFMU audio stream. It worked well, but the audio level
from the small speakers was not high. The unit also has an "Internet Radio"
link to some poorly designed Taiwanese music site.

I used Firefox to tune in Rundgrenradio.com, a podcast for hardcore Todd
Rundgren fans. The audio was fine and it buffered all or most of the show in
just a few moments.

The Eee can run other Linux distros besides the built in Xandros, and is well
supported in particular by Mandriva Linux. Ubuntu has pre-announced Netbook
Remix, which should be an impressive distro that may work on the Eee. It's due
next month.
