I wished to do a search on the word: בראשית on the Aleppo Codex in Sword
Running XP Prof. and 256 MB RAM, I was surprised it took so long... it then froze... I repeated the process: 1. Load Sword 2. Check Hide/Show Modules Aleppo 3. New Search Window 4. Change Bible to Aleppo 5. Change Language (not in Sword, but on XP) 6. Typed in בראשית 7. Search... 8. Wait.... It took forever to load, it took a few seconds to search, but about 30 secs, to load (unusual since it takes about a second normally)... It also took longer to load Genesis: 1:1 as opposed to the other references... At last it loaded... Well, I waited, then i got an hourglass, almost indicating an imminent crash (again)...then the search window closed (for some reason (possibly XP closed it), I re-opened. and the Preview References, where usually there would be Hebrew, is now the word: "Tiphel" (in Latin Characters) Closing and re-opening the window didn't help. What is also interesting is that the Task Manager shows sword.exe as occupying 13.280 Mb of memory (at peak). As regards Services/Events that were logged, XP didn't log an error... So its probable thats theres a memory problem somewhere...(perhaps even a memory leak), Other searches, such as in the KJV, worked fine... and the save verse list is a nice addition, although the file format is a bit strange...make it rather a .txt (but thats minor) DF __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
