Here is the sequence of commands that I used to make kjv2006 on a
unix system. The Mac probably is similar:
To create a raw text I do: (I find this useful for debugging)
mkdir -p modules/texts/rawtext/kjvraw
osis2mod modules/texts/rawtext/kjvraw kjv.xml
zip kjvraw.zip mods.d/kjvraw.conf modules/texts/rawtext/kjvraw/*
To create a compressed one I do:
mkdir -p modules/texts/ztext/kjv2006
osis2mod modules/texts/ztext/kjv2006 kjv.xml 0 2 4
zip kjv2006.zip mods.d/kjv2006.conf modules/texts/ztext/kjv2006/*
If the conf does not match the module, it probably won't work.

Hi Joachim, Hi Manfred,
Thank you, Manfred, for the explanation, you did it much better
than I did. Unfortunetly, my message has not yet reached the list
because I was sending a file (Joachim asked for it) and the system
is keeping the message from being posted because it has too many
KBs... I posted it (I think) 2 days ago, and its still being held
from going to the list.
So, what should I do? Shall I cancel the original message and send
it to Joachim directly or should I simply wait?

Hi.
Jónatas used the sword version that I compiled on my computer. I
packaged it and gave it to him because he wasn't sure if he could
manage to compile himself.
It is a standard version that is available for download (two weeks
old), no SVN version.
Best regards,
Manfred

Hi,
how does your command line look like? Sword's SVN or another
version?
Also post a piece of the osis file.
Joachim
Hi Joachim,
I already tried to use the osis2mod tool but when I put the
resulting
files into the PorAA folder it doesn't work. Why is that? Can you
help me?
Thanks,
Jónatas

xml2gbs is replaced by osis2mod.

I'm trying to create a new PorAA module with some corrections
made by
Manfred (some strange characters at the end of each line).
Manfred
sent me an OSIS file and I'm trying to figure out how we
create a new
module with it. I've been reading this — http://
www.crosswire.org/
sword/develop/swordmodule/ — to learn but I cannot find an
executable
that is mentioned, the xml2gbs. I use a Mac and I've installed
the
tools under /opt/sword-1.5.8 and the executables are under ./bin
(mod2osis, osis2mod, addld, etc.) but there is no xml2gbs. Where
is it?
