I have a problem with that. The Scriptures are far too important to
anyone to touch. For example, the people who have been involved with
PorAA up to now have shown too little respect for text integrity.
I like to see that you have the Bible in the most high standard. It is
good to see that. I understand your frustration but, with all due
respect, I think you're crossing the line here. Everyone here is trying
to do the best.
I don’t think so, unfortunately. Someone has proposed to fix omissions
by taking from a different version in a different dialect of the
language, without bothering to really check the original version. Isn’t
that lack of respect for text integrity?
I'm also trying to ask permissions for distribution to SBP. And
maybe I can acquire an eText already built that I'll only need to alter
to the OSIS format.
And which version would be that? I assume it is something other than
PorAA and its Revisada original, since they have nothing to do with SBP
but are IBB’s.
Anyway, a new version is mostly welcome, and perhaps SBP will be in a
better position than Brazilian societies which basically see all this as
an enterprise, and thus are little likely to relent.
