Another couple of data points. Same bad result in Ubuntu-FF. Same bad result in Cygwin under WinXP. Good result in Cygwin under WinVista?!?
I can't explain the difference in WinVista-vs-WinXP Cygwin even a little bit, because I configure Sword there using my own GnomeSword-building bash script, and so I can say with great confidence that the entire configuration environment between them is utterly identical.
