David, Yes, I have managed to use both with the text I am working on, and the SnowFall Software tool is a bit more satisfying in that it handles more complex usfm AND it tells you about some of the errors in the conversion (mainly related to references), which is VERY helpful. BibleDesktop handles the output pretty well.
