Congratulations guys!!! This is great news!  Our Windows users now have
choices 4+ choices!   We're really going to have to redo our CD autorun
splash to present these choices to our users.

This is now the time to consider again removing the unsupported "Sword
for Windows", which is condemned by many and misleads many about the
potential of the Sword platform because it appears to be the official
(and thus the "best") one to casual onlookers.

"Removing" is not a good idea, but it's another thing to write honest guidance in www pages etc. We can call it a "legacy" application which has served well for years but have now been superseded by more modern interfaces. It may still be usable for many users: it's small, works reliably etc.

But if you allow me to go back to BibleTime - if there's anyone interested in helping us, you are welcome. At the moment we have less manpower than Xiphos have had for some time, but on the other hand the Windows port workload is not comparable. Anyways, we can use graphic designers, C++/Qt coders, Windows specialists, translators etc. Thorough testing is more important than ever, as the Xiphos developers already have noticed. We want to find bugs before publishing, so please try BibleTime.
