Welcome =) I'm part of the Xiphos developer team which is mostly-C-gnome frontend to sword. If you are interested in Gnome more there are a few things we are going to do shortly after 3.1.2 release (due Christmas). We will clean up old dependencies and will try to do a few cool things.
