Distant Shores Media is pioneering the use of the MediaWiki format for encoding Bible translations via its Door43 portal.

Instantly./" One of their programmers has developed an extension to the MediaWiki server (which powers Door43) called *USFMtag* that implements this concept. USFM-encoded Bible translations can be copied-and-pasted into any page on Door43 and the raw text is rendered in the browser as formatted text.
