See here for more background (if you'll excuse yet another 2 links to
Wikipedia).

I wonder whether https://github.com/zefanja/biblez-ng would work with Internet Explorer 11. It has never been tested with anything else than Chrome and Firefox OS, but there are rumours that IE is now rather compatible with modern standards. Yes, it works even offline for me (so, Firefox OS now HAS offline Bible ... I am still excited over it!).

Most likely some patches and modifications would be needed, but I think it SHOULD work. EnyoJS (http://enyojs.com/) which is a framework used for biblez-ng officially supports Windows Phone as a platform.

Which leads back to much more fundamental question ... isn’t it finally time to “bless” JavaScript (particularly https://github.com/zefanja/swordjs) as a third official platform for Sword, aside from C++ and Java? There will be most likely never be any way how to make C-bindings for Firefox OS, and it seems that well working JavaScript might be better platform for many phones anyway (I am not much versed in the Windows Phone, being a Linux guy, but isn’t JavaScript officially the primary development language in Redmont anyway)?

Blessings,

Matěj
