David,
In MODTOOLS-76 you reported that an unsupported v11n (e.g. a fat-fingered one)
wouldn’t work. You found that it resulted in an infinite loop (which was a
separate problem) and you weren’t sure what v11n was used. Peter further tested
and found that with a test module with a totally bogus v11n it’d build
something but he had no clue which v11n was used.
I fixed this by giving output stating which v11n is used and went a bit
further, allowing unambiguous case-insensitive matches and case-insensitive
prefix matches to work with clear error messages for ambiguous matches and for
no matches.
I have resolved the issue, but have left it to you to confirm and to close the
issue. I copied in Greg because he has built the utilities for windows in the
past that you can use.
Copying the modules team so that they can be aware of the new behavior.
Thanks,
DM
