On 9/11/2001, when Allentown's "Classic Hits" went back to music at 7 PM local time after having fed CNN TV coverage on the radio since roughly 9 AM, the first song they played was John Lennon's "Imagine".
That would seem apt for this situation as well. The suggestion of classical music reminds me of Radio Moscow's habit when they would lose their leaders back in the day...they'd switch to all-somber-all-the-time before announcing that Premier Whatshisname had died.
