No Saul. In 1961 I was working with a guy who wanted to trade me a Collins
R-388/51J3 for a mono
Hi-Fi system I had. I did not ask any questions about how he had come by such
a great receiver
and why he was willing to swap it for $200 worth of audio equipment. I made the
deal. The S-38B
was now surplus to my needs. I donated it to another guy I worked with whose
12 year old kid was
showing an interest in ham radio and shortwave listening. I lost track of him.
No idea where
that radio is today. I kept the Collins until the 1990's when I found one in
better condition.
