Eww. Been a tough couple months for shortwave: Radio Slovakia International has announced the same fate; RAE in Argentina is also hinting this might happen. This one is a real loss as Radio Prague has always been one of the easiest catches in Eastern North America.

The station’s financing for next year has been drastically reduced by the Foreign Ministry in line with government austerity measures aimed at cutting the state deficit. The details of the budget are still being ...discussed. At present, broadcasting will continue in all six languages via the internet, satellite and partner stations. -- Mark Coady Editor Shortwave Loggings Shadow Lake Camp Convenor Ontario DX Association 829 Fife Bay Marina Lane Peterborough, ON K9J 6X3 (705) 292-9916 [email protected] ------------------------------------ http://www.naswa.net When replying PLEASE strip this note and the stuff below added to outgoing emails by Yahoo and various software packages.
