Hi all,
Seems like SWTBot needs a lot of changes to fully work with Eclipse 4.2
( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=375598 ). However, it is
currently difficult to contribute and test fixes because of the
old-school build which is complicated to run locally.
I think there is the need to make it easier to get local builds and
snapshots. I suggested month ago this bug
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=359024 (move to Tycho) ,
with most of the necessary work done, but since then nothing happened.
I'd really like to see progress regarding this, so that it would be
easier to contribute and then to get the critical 375598 fixed ASAP.
We (@JBoss) really need 375598 fixed, and we'll for sure contribute to
it when possible, but moving to Tycho would really increase our ability
to do so.
