Well you know my oppinion.  And what actually made me post this is that I
recently read on the Sun java site (when downloading 1.4 and 1.5 to
reinstall) that they are at End Of Life.  So if 1.5 is going to end of  life
should we really still worry about 1.4?

Here is the note on the Java 1.5 download page if your curious:

* J2SE 5.0 is in its Java Technology End of Life (EOL) transition period*.
The EOL transition period began April 8th, 2008 and will complete October
30th, 2009, when J2SE 5.0 will have reached its End of Service Life (EOSL).

So anyway You know my vote.  All may development is 1.5 and 1.6.
