Maybe you even can use 3.4:

I don't know if SWTBot is fully compatible with Eclipse 3.4. I recommend you to
use the Classic version of Eclipse.
If you want to be on the safe side, use 3.3.2.

You need Eclipse SDK Europa 3.3.2.
Check out everything from the SVN repository
https://swtbot.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/swtbot/trunk
You then should have nearly a dozen SWTBot Eclipse projects in your
workspace.
Then you should export the plugin "net.sf.swtbot.eclipse.ui" into
your Eclipse plugin directory. You need it for starting your JUnit tests in a
special way, otherwise they won't run correctly. Start your JUnit tests
always by "Run as SWTBot Test".
How to export that plugin after you checked it out? Open
/net.sf.swtbot.eclipse.ui/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file in Eclipse and click on
tab "Overview". There is a link "Export Wizard". Click it
and export that plugin into your Eclipse plugin folder. Restart Eclipse then.
Now you can run the JUnit tests of SWTBot (like in net.sf.finder.test) and
learn from it.
I hope that I included all the information you need.
