I think there is currently no step-by-step tutorial.

Easiest could be to install it from the update site and then to import its 
plugins with source. Then look at the Junit tests of SWTBot. Try to get them 
running. And then look at what it does and how it does it.

If you have a SWT application to test it is easier to use SWTBot than if you 
have a RCP application because the latter is a bit more complicated.

I would tell you more, but currently I have lot to do elsewhere.
