Yeah, check out http://projectsycamore.org/Roadmap.  We've had some
discussion of a basic metadata system.

Some work started on it a while ago (branches/metadata), but it
stopped as I wanted to focus efforts on getting Wiki Spot off the
ground first.

The biggest problem of this is keeping it simple.  You should add your
thoughts to that roadmap page on the sycamore-specific wiki (our
proposal is very similar to the semantic mediawiki proof of concept,
at least last i checked).  It'd be great to get the ball rolling on
this stuff.
