Well, I successfully installed the trunk on an ubuntu dev box (also using mysql) a while back without any problems. But, of course, the install was a little easier (thanks to root access and apt). I haven't tried sapling on my dev box yet. I'll try that asap. The MySQL version differences are as follows: Dreamhost: 5.0.16 Dev Box: 5.0.38 I guess I could downgrade MySQL on my dev box to see if that breaks it but that would kinda suck to have such an old version.
