Note: X,Y in Database are reverse of real world X is the long way around the equator = longitude 0-180 pos and neg, Y is the lateral (up/down) = latitude 0-90 pos, neg. - if we fix the database we'll need to fix the code since the SQL query will change.

Ideally I actually think we should create something like a GeoRSS, GML or KML file and use that to server the map. It could be updated via diffs when the database triggers on a location change. That way we could cache the points for loading. Alternate idea would be to bundle Featureserver python WFS service with Sycamore. More on that later.
