Charles Sturt University is searching to fill the following position in philosophy: Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Philosophy at Charles Sturt University, Australia. Full Time, Fixed Term (2 year contract) HEW Academic Level A/B - $56,699 - $96,187 pa (Including 17% Superannuation) Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia. The Faculty of Arts is a diverse Faculty covering a broad range of disciplines including visual and performing arts, art history, communications, human services, justice studies, policing and law enforcement, theology, psychology, sociology, literature, philosophy and history. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (http://www.csu.edu.au/faculty/arts/humss) teaches courses and conducts research in fields such as Art History and Visual Culture; English; History/Politics; Social Work and Human Services; Law/Social Policy; Philosophy; Psychology; and Sociology/Anthropology. The Associate Lecturer / Lecturer in Philosophy will have responsibilities in service teaching across a range of applied ethics subjects, including ethics of health and human services professions, for students pursuing vocational and professional degrees. There will be some teaching of mainstream Philosophy in undergraduate subjects, including epistemology and metaphysics, and political philosophy. The applicant will be expected to contribute to the administration and research activities within the Philosophy program.
