Greetings all,

This coming Monday (March 7) the current projects seminar, 1.00-2.30 in the common room will be Paul Griffiths on "Eliminating innateness"

Together with various coauthors I have argued that the folk concept of
innateness has no scientific value, and that it is a mistake to try to
resurrect the idea by offering a new explicative or stipulative
definition. Several recent and forthcoming papers reject this view and
defend either an explicative or stipulative definition, or the program
of creating one. I'll talk about how I see the issues here - what is at
stake, burden of proof considerations, etc.

See you all there......
