History and Philosophy of Linguistics Reading group

Next meeting: Tuesday, October 18, 5-7pm, Woolley S302

Reading: Joseph Ransdell 1986, ŒSemiotic objectivity¹. In Deely et al. (eds)
Frontiers in Semiotics. Bloomington: Indiana, 236254.

scientific, and to argue that what I call ³conventionalist semiotics² cannot
lay claim to objectivity, in the sense explained.¹
