*OUR FINAL INVENTION?* /Young Philosophers' Panel/ *OUR FINAL INVENTION?* Will the human race be taken over and wiped out by computers? This is the subject of many sci-fi movies, but it is also the subject of the next Blackheath Philosophy Forum on Saturday June 28. Three Young Philosophers, Toby Solomon, Heydon Wardell-Burns and Alice Evans, will tackle this topic in a talk titled"Our Final Invention".They will discuss how Artificial Intelligence researchers think the emergence of machines with human-like intelligence is more likely than not this century.
