Philosophy Seminar RoomSimulcast via
Zoom: https://uni-sydney.zoom.us/j/87937027507 De se monism is
the view that we each possess exactly one distinctively first-personal
concept of ourselves. De se pluralism is the view that we each possess more
than one distinctively first-personal concept of ourselves. In this talk, I
will (i) clarify what is at issue between de se monism and de se pluralism,
(ii) argue against de se monism and for de se pluralism, (iii) develop a
version of the de se pluralist view in some detail, and (iv) examine the
broader philosophical consequences of the truth of de se
pluralism.
