Masterclass in Aristotelian Logic

The Institute for Ethics & Society, in partnership with the School of 
Philosophy & Theology, is delighted to deliver a Masterclass in Logic in 
Aristotle and the Aristotelian Tradition at the University of Notre Dame 
Australia. The masterclass will be led by Professor Marko Malink (NYU), one of 
the world's leading authorities on Aristotle's logic.


Marko Malink is Professor of Philosophy & Classics at New York University. His 
research focuses on ancient logic and metaphysics, the history of logic, and 
philosophy of language. His book Aristotle's Modal Syllogistic was published by 
Harvard University Press in 2013. Some of his articles were selected for The 
Philosopher's Annual, which aims to collect the ten best articles published in 
philosophy each year (2013, 2016, 2018). Prior to joining NYU, he held 
positions at Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Chicago.


The masterclass will be held on May 8 and May 15 (1:30pm-4:30pm) in the 
Moorgate Boardroom, The University of Notre Dame Australia, Broadway (10 
Grafton Street, Chippendale).


Registration is free and open to everyone. No background in formal logic is 
required. To register to participate, please contact David Bronstein

to attend in-person, please contact David Bronstein for details about how to 
participate remotely.

Bronstein, Associate Professor and Research Fellow in the Institute for Ethics
