The Australian Association of Professional and Applied Ethics (AAPAE) will host 
a Tertiary Ethics Olympiad on October 5th 2023, and we hope your university 
will enter a team or teams. There is a maximum of two teams from any University 
allowed to enter. Please note... this event will be held on Zoom to enable your 
university to participate with teams from other parts of the country and 
overseas.
Earlier this year, we ran an International final involving top-ranked teams 
from the Australasian event held last year and top US teams from the US Ethics 
Bowl. Australian National University took out the Gold medal at the inaugural 
international final, facing top US teams, and we will do the same again next 
year, where qualifying teams will participate with top US Ethics Bowl 
Intercollegiate teams.   Here is a list of the cases for this year's Tertiary 
Ethics Olympiad;

• 8 am – Western Australia, Singapore & Hong Kong
• 9.30 am – South Australia & Northern Territory
• 10 am – Queensland
• 11 am – ACT, N.S.W, Tas & Victoria
• 12 pm – New Zealand

Finish times:
12.30 pm – Western Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong
• 2 pm – South Australia and Northern Territory
• 3.30 pm – Queensland
• 3.30 pm – ACT, N.S.W, Qld, Tasmania & Victoria
