That seems like a reasonable idea to me.

After talking to Erestar, we've decided that a helper is a more
appropriate location for that function anyway, so I'll be migrating it
into a helper.  However, I'll throw a warning when people try to call
the function from the sfPropelFileStorageUtil class.
