Yes - we've had the same problem. If you check out the latest version of
symfony the fillin filter doesn't run. But if you do:

$ svn merge -r 2942:2941 . # Revert the r2942 commit

In the symfony installation, it works again. The patch is quite small but
unfortunately I don't have the time to investigate what's going on...
