Hi Snehal,
a week ago I had similar problem with observe_field fnc. Works fine with FF
& Opera, Doesn't work on IE6-IE7. Actually it is not related with symfony.
Symfony comes with prototype 1.5.0 So I updated prototype library to version
1.6.0.2 and problem is solved.
May be you need to update prototype?
