Yes, that looks like something I want to implement but you have to make sure you follow the Symfony coding standards (addRetrieveByPKWithI18n_SinglePK, there should be no underscore here, for example) and as Tristan mentioned, make patch because even for me (not just the core team) will be better if I can cleanly apply it to my symfony tree.
