Hi, I have gotten the request to implement full merge key support [1]. Currently we lack the ability to merge multiple alias at one time. So atm we only have "Merge one map" from the example in the linked document. I am planning on adding the other two features as well
I do not think that this will add much measurable overhead (more of course if you use the feature) to the yaml parsing. It should also not require all too much code. Unless there are any prior objections I will implement this and provide a patch for symfony 1.1. Just wanted to give an FYI before I start working on this.
