I can.   I use my Mac for development.   It'd have been so much nicer  
to click on a package installer on OS X than it is to have to install  
pear, and then use pear to download it.  Granted it's not so hard to  
install it on OS X now, but it took me a while to track down the right  
way to install pear on OS X.
