I agree this would be valuable. Our forthcoming CMS relies on column
aggregation inheritance to implement custom slots, so there is a major
need to upgrade and downgrade schemas. We'll be implementing 'install'
and 'uninstall' tasks in custom slot plugins, but things will get
messier once upgrades come into the picture.
