Just speaking about documentation and use of Symfony, I personnaly don't think mailing-lists, especially powered by Google Groups and for some reasons, are a good and viable solution (see John Resig's rant against it http://ejohn.org/blog/google-groups-is-dead/). I'd rather see something more integrated within the documentation itself. Just a silly idea, wouldn't it be possible in a first step to keep the mailing lists as they are but, by adopting some subject naming conventions, be able to grab the google groups RSS feed of related conversations and attach them as comments in the doc page ?
