Sure, I do the same for databases.yml, but doing the same with
factories.yml is cumbersome: it's hidden in app/<name>/config (except
if you put it in the config/ folder of the project, but to me it's not
a good idea).

Having a central place to define sensible parameters like email
adresses, usernames, passwords, api tokens or local paths would be
handy. Maybe a plugin could offer this feature, though.
